Akunator (“The Three Riches”) is a family holding company that identifies and supports family owned businesses across the United States. The firm is led by three first generation siblings who are looking to invest for the long term. We come from two small business entrepreneurial parents who have instilled in us the values of hard work, collaboration, and legacy preservation

We’ve worked at some of the largest institutions in the world; mastering M&A, Capital Markets, Corporate Strategy in Industrials / Business Services and Technology. This, combined with our entrepreneurial exposed upbringing, has given us an enhanced prospective on what it takes to scale and optimize various companies

Our goal is to create a long term portfolio of small businesses with a deep bench of founder partners to support portfolio growth

Lead Operator: Nezim Mmegwa

Nezim Mmegwa serves as the lead operator of Akunator and will be placed into your business as it’s day to day CEO. He is supported by four family strategic advisors along with non-family strategic partners. Reach out for more details!

Nezim Mmegwa:

  • A first-generation immigrant who grew up watching his parents' sacrifice to build the American dream— grit instilled from day one

  • Entrepreneurial fire sparked by watching his mom transition from professional practices as a Chartered Accountant to start her own departmental store in Nigeria when he was young; knew from then that he wanted to own, operate, and grow his own business

  • Attended Princeton University and received a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering

  • After college, he spent 8 years working at some of the largest institutions in the world - learning how to acquire, finance and grow various service companies

  • It wasn't rocket science that built your company— it was hard work and determination. Those same qualities, plus Nezim’s career, make him uniquely suited to lead your business going forward
